      The AS1364 operates from a 2 to 5.5 V supply and hence it is ideal for dual or triple standard-cell and single Li-Ion battery powered applications. The regulator offers very low dropout voltage of 140mV at 1A. The quiescent current too is very low of just 35microA during operation and 10nA at shutdown. Battery life is greatly maximized while using AS1364.

      “There is a growing demand of applications requiring high currents and the need of a LDO smoothed voltage,” commented Walter Moshammer, marketing director of standard linear at austriamicrosystems.

      “At currents rated around 1A, the dropout voltage is the most important factor for lifetime and efficiency of the system. Austriamicrosystems’ AS1364 fulfils these needs completely,” added Moshammer enthusiastically.

      The AS1364 can be an adjustable version or it comes with pre-programmed output voltages in the range of 1.2 to 5.0V with a very high output voltage accuracy of 0.75 percent. The adjustable version allows high flexibility in design and does not require a bypass capacitance, while the pre-programmed version provides better noise performance with a bypass pin.

      The regulator has low output voltage noise of 50microVrms in the adjustable version and only 10microVrms in the pre-programmed version. The AS1364 also has a power-ok output that signals when the output voltage drops out of regulation by about six percent.

AS1364 提供電壓可調(diào)或預(yù)置輸出電壓版本,其電壓范圍為 1.2 至 5.0V.1A 負(fù)載條件下,最差情況的輸出電壓精度也可達(dá)到 2% 甚至更好.可調(diào)電壓版本可實(shí)現(xiàn)最大設(shè)計(jì)靈活性,且不需旁路電容,預(yù)置電壓版本則可借助一個(gè)旁路引腳來(lái)改善噪聲性能.因此,可調(diào)版本的噪聲可實(shí)現(xiàn) 50μVrms 的不錯(cuò)性能,而預(yù)置版本則可進(jìn)一步實(shí)現(xiàn)10μVrms 的卓越性能.另外,在輸出電壓達(dá)到標(biāo)稱值的 6% 容差之內(nèi)時(shí),AS1364 將給出一個(gè)電源正常的輸出信號(hào).

      ?????? AS1364 的數(shù)字使能引腳可實(shí)現(xiàn)系統(tǒng)級(jí)動(dòng)態(tài)電源管理功能.此外,AS1364 還能提供高溫和過(guò)流保護(hù).AS1364 適用的工作環(huán)境溫度范圍為 -40至+85°C.
